Heres Our Bio..........
RocksteadyUK, B-Bop and DJ Shredder. Otherwise known as The Mutant DJs. Have been turning heads of some of the scenes biggest names since their formation in 2006. They were formed after the break up of a larger group “Seismic Force”, when members of the collective went to university and decided to take on their own solo careers. Under the name of Seismic Force they set up their own monthly nights and private parties and soon began to gather a following of regulars at their events. As individuals and as a collective they were soon asked to join London’s infamous 2Gfm 102.7 in which they were resident for over 4 years.
2Gfm finally closed its doors in 2004 and the collective were soon asked to join various other FM and Internet stations. They spent the next 2 years guest showing on stations like Flashback FM, London Live and Direct, Murdah FM, Select FM and Divine FM.
After forming in 2006 they decided to fully concentrate on the award winning internet radio station. www.ukrumble.com. It was here The Mutant DJs found their feet and found themselves apart of a bigger family. Their instantly likable personalities saw them quickly become the headlining DJs. They held the stations record for most listeners until the stations closure in early 2008.
With more than 25 years experience between them The Mutant DJs have quickly become known for there style and their instant energy they bring to the scene. They are not afraid of sharing their experiences and advice to up and coming DJs in the scene. This was cemented in 2007 when www.mixupload.com asked to have an exclusive interview with RocksteadyUK, about their aims and influence on the underground Drum and Bass scene in London and around the UK. (Full transcript of the interview can be found here)
Early 2008 saw The Mutant DJs take the next step and were signed by a leading DJ agency. QC Artist Management. It was then they decided to create their very own corporate identity. TMD. The simple abbreviation of their name. The first step to creating their corporation, saw them set up their very own recording studio. TMDStudios. In which a series of mixes have been the bi-product of. Haunted Hospital Sessions have now spread across the net and have been downloaded by thousands of Drum and Bass fans. A simple search in google proves just how much these guys have influenced the scene.
Step 2 has seen The Mutant DJs start up their very own promotions team and create a brand new night in South London aimed at promoting the new talent of Drum and Bass. After less than a year TMD has already become a noticeable name in the up and coming Drum and Bass scene. With some of the industries leaders taking note.
This brings us up to date. TMD are now resident on the award winning Aftershock Radio, and well respected amongst scene. More collaborations and mix tapes in the works can only see The Mutant DJs moving forward in the scene.
