Riplash & Sus are Bassline/UK Garage producers from Essex in the South East UK.
The duo's debut release in 2002, Tortured/Stinker, on Agent X's Heatseeker Warheadz imprint, received critical acclaim, scoring 5/5 & a "Sureplayer" award from DJ Magazine. Since then the pair have built a close working relationship with Agent X & Heatseeker Entertainment, releasing numerous original tracks & remixes through them, and in 2004 setting up the RS Music division of the label for original Riplash & Sus material. Tracks & remixes to date include Vula Malinga (as featured on Basement Jaxx's "Oh My Gosh") & Kele Le Roc, along with new UK talent like Jo Louise & Stevie Shaves. Engineering credits include a number of artists, most notably Kiss 100FM's grime guru Logan Sama, with many of his dubplates & the infamous "Bonus CD" compilation put together in the RS Music studio. Their production has also seen them guest on BBC 1Xtra three times, with another appearance imminent.
Riplash & Sus have also been DJing in UK clubland for around 5 years, with notable appearances including the 2005 "Escape Into The Park" dance festival in Swansea (for which they received a strong review from the BBC), and have been invited back in 2006), and main room sets in cities accross the UK (London, Sheffield, Birmingham, etc) at events like Garage Nation, Sun City, Funkebassline, Innovation & One Nation. They've even hosted a packed out room at 3000 capacity D&B rave "Battle of the MC's". Many more shows are still to be announced for 2006, including some international dates.
Currently the boys are working hard in the studio, writing & producing original material for a bunch of UK artists in varied styles, as well as releasing some of the biggest club smashers on the underground right now.
